The scream that came out of Mako’s mouth when he was crashed into by none other than Korra would have put any type of screeching bird to shame. While his balance was great, nothing short of another person could have stopped him from falling flat on his ass. He landed and groaned loudly.
“Watch where I’m going?! You ran into me! Why dont you watch where you’re going you damn klu—” he stopped abruptly as he opened his eyes and looked up at Korra, who looked flustered in turn.
“Still not a morning person I see,” He sighed out cheekily and stood up, dusting himself off in the process. “Did you wake up late or something?” He questioned and stared down at the piece of bread. He held up a finger and a small controlled flame sprouted from it.
“Uh, I could help you with that, Korra. Ya know, toast it for you. It would probably kill whatever’s crawling all over it now.”
Korra knew she was blushing. She felt so embarrassed and absolutely tiny right now… Although, she would never admit to such a thing. Admitting to such feelings would only make her look stupid. Well, stupider than she already looked. Getting up, she brushed at her clothes and scoffed.
“My alarm didn’t go off this morning… Usually I’m on time to everything!” She couldn’t help but mentally cringe at the last statement, covering her face. There was no reason to act like this, Korra thought to herself. It wasn’t like Mako was her boyfriend or anything. There was no reason to be nervous she told herself, not even just a little bit.
Shrugging, Korra reached for her bag.
“No, don’t worry about it. What about you? What are you up to, lover boy?”
I’m so bored right now.
